Born in Jonquière, Quebec in the early ’80s, the band has spent four decades building a world of its own somewhere between thrash, progressive metal and dystopian science-fiction. From the raw chaos of ”War and Pain” to the twisted brilliance of ”Killing Technology”, ”Dimension Hatröss” and ”Nothingface”, Voivod have always sounded like they were operating on a different frequency, turning strange ideas, odd structures and cosmic themes into something unmistakably theirs.

Forty years later, that machine is still running, guided by the same restless spirit that pushed them beyond the limits of metal in the first place.
